Tregorrick TitansCongratulations to the Tregorrick Titans U8’s, who had a fab day participating in their first tournament at Newquay.
They kicked off the tournament against Ludgvan Panthers and battled it out to a 0-0 draw.
Next up was Titans v’s Falmouth United, this was a close game but the Titans came out 2-0 winners with both goals from Jack Williams!!
With their confidence high next up was Bodmin Mount, after being on the end of a hammering in a previous friendly coach Lea Cooper was a bit on edge, but the Titans came out all guns blazing and were unlucky to lose 1-0.
The much anticipated match against Charlestown Utd was upon us and the Titans were raring to go, the Titans totally dominated the game and came out 2-0 winners with goals from Jack Williams and Nathan Retallick.
The final game was against Tavistock Town. Tavi looked to be a great side in the previous matches during the day and so the Titans were very cautious in the early exchanges, a great run from Nathan Retallick ended in him being up ended in the penalty box but no penalty was given and Tavi went up the other end and scored the only goal of the game.
Tregorrick Titans finished 3rd in their league which was a great outcome for their first tournament !!!
Coach Lea Cooper would like to thank Oliver Burt, Jack Williams, Jordan Cooper, Katie Glendenen, Nathan Retallick, Matt Retallick, Joseph Rabjohns and Ross Osbourne for taking part as they made him proud to be their coach.

Tregorrick Celts
I would like to congratulate Tregorrick Celts on their stupendous display of youth football at the CCFA & Devon FA Super Festival on Sunday 6th May at Tretherras School, Newquay.

After the whistle to start their first game against Culdrose Hurricans, it didn’t take long for the goals to start flying in from Keiron Bishop (4) and Dillon Frise (1) with assists by Dillon Frise, Keiron Bishop, and George Truscott, ending the game 5-0.

Then came our second match against Padstow MFC and the Celts looked unstoppable, this time with goals from Keiron Bishop (2), Cally Rundle (Capt.)(1) and Dillon Frise (1), with james Venning assisting, ending the game 4-0.

We then had the pleasure of facing Tavistock Town A, who we just had to beat (my childhood home town) and they sure did again with goals from Keiron Bishop (3) and Cally Rundle (1) with an accurately placed near side corner shot following a deflected corner (played by Cally), James Venning not only assisted in 2 of these goals but had more shots deflected from the cross bar than you would believe possible in 5 mins.

After a long Lunch the Celts faced Falmouth UTD A, and this proved to be a good hard battle, with end to end play, and thanks to the safe hands of Jack Curley (GK) and our outstanding defensive line, Jamie Fanks and Jamie Gough, we held them to a 0-0 draw, (much to the relief of my blood pressure).

Final match, and after a long hot day of quality football the Celts were to face the so far unbeaten Trevenson Youth, this game had the makings of a cup tie, and with both teams ready to go, the match was on. Cally Rundle scored in the first half with excellent supportive play from the rest of the team. Defence again stood their ground and stopped any attacks that Trevenson could deliver, and yet another clean sheet for Jack Curley. Finishing the 1-0.

The Celts deservedly won their league with 4 wins and 1 draw, in their first tournament of 2007, and it really was a pleasure to see them play.

Well-done “You Celts”!!!
