Tregorrick Titans 1 - Liskeard 6 (13th October 2007)
The Titans returned to league action with a home match against Liskeard, this with no doubt would be the toughest test for the Titans after winning their earlier two fixtures comfortably. The game kicked off and no little after 1 minutes worth of play Liskeard breached Ollie Burts goal for the first time this season, but the Titans heads did not drop and they battled well with Ollie making several top class saves, the defence of Matt Rettalick and Jacob Summerwill had their work cut out but were well up to the task but it was Liskeard who scored again with an excellent worked team goal. The midfield of Katie Glendenen, Joe Rabjohns and Brandon Pomery had to work exceptionally hard against a very quick and skillfull midfield from Liskeard, Liskeard won a corner with 30 seconds of the half remaining and it was an unfortunate deflection from the corner which presented a Liskeard player with an easy tap in to make it 3-0 to Liskeard at half time. The second half kicked of and Jordan Cooper went close with a snap shot, this encouraged the Titans to play a better passing game with Joe Rabjohns pushing up front to support Jack Williams, but in doing this it left gaps for Liskeard to attack and a wonderful strike from a Liskeard player from about 20 yards out finished of the game, Ollie Burt continued to make some wonderful saves, but unfortunately this could not stop Liskeard from scoring 2 more goals. With time running out the Titans pushed forward to try and score at least one goal and their never give up attitude paid off with a fine strike by Jordan Cooper being saved by the Liskeard keeper resulting the Titans only corner of the game and a fine delivery from Joe Rabjohns led to Jack Williams volleying the ball into the net and the Titans had deservedly scored a goal (All be it a consolation). Final score 6-1 to Liskeard. This was a good learning curve for the Titans who never gave up for the whole 40mins of the game against an outstanding Liskeard team (which should be in the A league!!!!).
